Santa Ride And Food Drive Coming To Chalfont

CHALFONT, PA — Children and families in Chalfont Borough will see Santa Claus ride through their neighborhood this Christmas season.

The Chalfont Fire Company's annual Community Santa Ride & Food Drive will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19, the fire department announced Monday.

Firefighters and volunteers will be adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines by wearing masks and gloves. Santa will remain on the fire truck while his elves hand out individually wrapped candy canes.

Photo opportunities with Santa will be available at a safe distance from the firetruck.

Volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items and other necessities to benefit the New Britain Food Larder at the New Britain Baptist Church.

The fire company will be tracking Santa's journey on its Facebook page. In the event of rain or snow, the event will be moved to Sunday, Dec. 20.
