Snow Emergency In Effect For Doylestown Area
The boroughs of Doylestown and New Britain have declared snow emergencies ahead of Thursday's winter storm.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Borough has declared a snow emergency in anticipation of a winter storm that could bring up to 7 inches to parts of the region on Thursday.
The declaration will take effect at midnight and will continue for the duration of the storm until snow emergency routes have been cleared, borough officials said.

A winter storm warning takes effect at 4 a.m. Thursday and will last through 10 a.m. Friday. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected for the Doylestown area, with the heaviest snow expected early Thursday morning and changing to sleet and freezing rain by late afternoon. Some light wintry precipitation could continue into Friday.

Latest Eastern PA Snowfall Estimates, Timing For Thursday Storm
The Bucks County parking garages will raise their gates to permit free parking during the winter storm at 10 p.m. Wednesday. They will remain raised for free parking until 8 a.m. Friday. Anyone who hasn't removed their vehicle from the garage at at that time will be required to press the "Lost Ticket" button to raise the gate and incur a $20 charge.

All Doylestown DART services will be closed on Thursday.
All Central Bucks School District schools will run on a 100 percent virtual schedule on Thursday due to inclement weather. Elementary school assignments, including CB Virtual Academy, will be posted by 10 a.m. and secondary school assignments will be posted by 9 a.m. Grab and Go meal pickups at Central Bucks high schools have been postponed to Friday.
A snow emergency will take effect in New Britain Borough at 6 a.m. Thursday and last through 8 p.m. Friday. Vehicles are not allowed to be parked on the side of borough roads during this time to allow for snow plowing.
Warrington Township has declared a snow emergency that will remain in effect until 12 p.m. Friday.
Perkasie Borough's snow declaration takes effect at 5 a.m. Thursday and lasts through noon Friday. A list of snow emergency routes can be found here. Thursday's trash collection is expected to take place as usual, as is Friday's recycling collection, though that may change depending on the severity of the storm. In response to the incoming weather, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission plan to implement travel restrictions on trucks and other vehicles on certain roadways.
