Taco, Rum Chain Plans First Bucks Co. Location

Bomba Tacos & Rum, an Ohio-based Latin-style restaurant and bar, will be opening its first Pennsylvania location in Bucks County.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bomba Tacos & Rum, an Ohio-based Latin-style restaurant and bar, will be opening its first Pennsylvania location in Bucks County.

The restaurant will be located in Village at Newtown Shopping Center, in a new building that is currently under construction. The establishment has received liquor license transfer approval from Newtown Township.

Bomba Tacos & Rum is a premium casual taco restaurant created by Paladar Restaurant Group. It currently operates three locations in Ohio. Two are planned in Pennsylvania: In addition to the Newtown restaurant, a Malvern location is forthcoming.

The Newtown location is expected to open in winter 2020, the company said on its website.

The concept is inspired by the energy and spontaneity of the Puerto Rican dance of the same name, according to the company's website.

The menu features a variety of Latin-inspired dishes, including, of course, tacos. The menu also features bowls, sandwiches, soups, and appetizers. The drink menu includes a range of rum cocktails, as well as margaritas, sangria, wine, and beer.

There is a gluten free menu, as well as a weekend brunch menu, which includes scrambles, huevos rancheros, and more.

The Newtown location will have 170 seats and be between 3,500 and 4,000 square feet, the Newtown Advance reported.
