PERKASIE, PA — President Donald Trump plans to make a scheduled appearance at the Pennridge Airport in Perkasie next week, according to GOP sources.

The Intelligencer first reported Thursday the president's planned campaign visit to Bucks County, a rally that is expected to take place one week before Election Day.

Jim Worthington, owner of the Newtown Athletic Club and founder of People 4 Trump, confirmed to Patch that the event will most likely occur on Monday.

"If it happens, it should be an amazing day," Worthington said.

Worthington, who is one of three Republican National Convention delegates in Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District, has long been a vocal supporter of Trump. Four years ago, Worthington hosted the then-Republican presidential candidate at his Newtown fitness club, which he called a "once in a lifetime" event.

He said Trump recognizes the importance of winning over Bucks County voters.

"People are focused on the congressional 1st [district]," Worthington said. "The battleground is right where we're standing. It really is a bellwether for what the rest of the country is thinking."

The rally is not listed on the Trump campaign's official event schedule.

Worthington's political organization was the driving force behind the Trump road rally that drove through Bucks County on Saturday. Local law enforcement agencies tallied over 1,000 vehicles that took part in the event, while Worthington said more than 6,000 vehicles signed up for the parade.

In 2016, President Trump won Pennsylvania by 44,000 votes, despite Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton winning more votes in Bucks County.
