Whole Foods Market Sets Opening Date For Doylestown Store
The new store at the Barn Plaza on Route 611 will feature more than 500 local products from the Mid-Atlantic region

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA ? One of the most asked questions in the Doylestown area has just been answered.
Whole Foods Market will open its new 43,617-square-foot store at the Barn Plaza, 1745 South Easton Road, on March 13 at 8 a.m.
The new store, which will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., will feature more than 500 local items from the Mid-Atlantic region, sourced with the help of Daniela D?Ambrosio, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market.

Some of highlights of the new Doylestown store are:
- Full-service seafood counter featuring only sustainable wild-caught or responsibly farmed seafood and a large selection of ready-to-cook items. Local seafood options with fresh catches daily include seafood cakes from Lagniappe Foods, Skinny Dipper Oysters from True Chesapeake Oyster Co. and soups and dips from Jimmy?s Famous Seafood.
- An array of certified organic, conventional and Sourced for Good produce, including salad greens and basil from Gotham Greens, vegetables from Lancaster Farm Fresh, salad kits from Ark Foods and tulips from Bloomia.
- Specialty department celebrating cheesemakers and artisan producers. Local items include homemade pasta from the Severino Pasta Company, chevre cheese from Firefly Farms and chocolate from Moka Origins. The cheese counter will be overseen by trained cheesemongers who can offer recommendations for any occasion.
- Curated grocery section filled with private label favorites from 365 by Whole Foods Market and local products including organic skyr yogurt from Painterland Sisters, mini peanut butter bars and taffy from NUMA Foods, ice cream from Heritage Kulfi and tomato lonsa from Aaji?s.
- Full-service meat counter, with butcher offering custom cuts of steak and poultry. Features include dry-aged beef, sausage made in-house, as well as pork from local supplier Pennbrook Acres Farms.

- Extensive selection of more than 750 wines and 280 craft beers. The local beer selection will include Perpetual IPA by Troeg?s Independent Brewing, Deep Cut Pilsner by Love City Brewing and Philadelphia Pale Ale by Yards Brewing Co.
- Prepared Foods department featuring a hot food bar, salad bar, pizza and made-to-order sandwiches. Customers can also shop for sushi made fresh daily from Genji Sushi.
- Bakery department offering made-in-house bread as well as everyday favorites, such as Whole Foods Market?s Berry Chantilly Cake and brown butter cookies. The department also carries a wide variety of special diet items, including vegan brownies, cakes and chocolate chip cookies along with several gluten-free selections. Local options include vegan cake slices from Sweet and Natural, cookies from Whisked by Jenna and cheesecakes from Hiatus.
- Whole Body department with a large assortment of wellness, beauty and lifestyle items. Local products include superseed boosters from Tiny Sprouts Foods, soap from Naked Goat Soap Company, deodorants from Stinkbug Naturals and seasonally scented hand soap from Hand in Hand.
On opening morning, customers will be treated to complimentary coffee from Backyard Beans and bites from Aaji?s. The first 300 customers in line will receive a custom tote bag and Secret Saver coupon featuring offers up to $100 off.
Additionally on opening morning, Whole Foods Market will provide a food donation to Manna on Main Street. The nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van from the company, which makes regular surplus food pickups from Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community.
Both donations are part of Whole Foods Market?s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
All food at Whole Foods Market must meet the company?s rigorous Quality Standards, which prohibit hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup and more than 300 flavors, colors, sweeteners and other ingredients commonly found in food. In addition, all beauty and body care products must meet the company?s body care standards, which ban more than 240 commonly used ingredients, including phthalates, parabens and microbeads.
