Woman 'Dipping Out' Arrested On Narcotics Charges In Warrington: Crime Report

In other reports, a man swallowed drugs while fleeing from police and a Warrington woman was charged with retail theft.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA ? Police were conducting a routine business check at the Wawa convenience store on July 29 at 1:34 a.m. when they observed a woman inside the store displaying behavior consistent with being under the influence, described as "dipping out."

The individual exited the store and was seen stumbling through the parking lot, police said.

While speaking with the 44-year-old woman from Hatboro, police said she admitted to recent narcotics use and disclosed that she regularly uses fentanyl. A records check revealed an active warrant issued by the City of Philadelphia and she was subsequently taken into custody.

During the arrest, officers said they located a yellow capsule containing a crystal-like substance, a pink vial with white powder residue, and a hypodermic needle in her possession.

The woman was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility and held on the Philadelphia warrant as a detainer.

Warrington woman charged with retail theft

On July 26, police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft in progress.

Upon arrival, loss prevention employees told police a 42-year-old woman from Warrington had concealed merchandise in her purse while shopping. Police were told that the woman purchased $108.42 worth of merchandise while concealing $94.25 worth of merchandise. She then exited the store without paying for the concealed merchandise.

Officers approached the woman in the parking lot and escorted her to the loss prevention office. She was placed under arrest and transported to the station where she was processed and released.

On July 15, police observed a 27-year-old man from Phoenixville, a known subject from prior police contacts, in the area of Valley Square Shopping Center. Upon seeing the officer, the man quickly rode his bicycle behind a dumpster area.

When an officer attempted to speak to the man, he ignored the officer and continued riding. The officer observed the man reach into his pocket, remove a blue bag, and ingest its contents before discarding it.

The man was detained and admitted to taking methamphetamine. He also told police that he was in possession of marijuana.

A search resulted in the seizure of three glass smoking pipes, four plastic straws with white residue, an additional glass pipe, a baggie with white residue, and a grinder found in his backpack.

The man was transported to the station for processing. He was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $20,000 unsecured. He was subsequently released. He is charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of prohibited acts.
