ALERT: Freeze Watch Issued For Hatboro

A freeze watch has been issued for Ardmore and surrounding areas, the National Weather Service announced Friday afternoon.

Temperatures as low as 28 degrees will hit the area from Sunday night into Monday morning.

All cold-sensitive plants and vegetables could be killed by the freeze, the National Weather Service warned.

If you want to save your herbs or vegetables, it may be prudent to pick them now, or prepare preventative methods to protect them.

All tropical plants should be brought indoors.

The first freeze also brings good tidings, however: mosquito rates drop off sharply, and poison ivy is less likely, after temperatures plummet into the 20s.
