Wawa Now Selling Alcohol in Hatboro
The convenience store is offering alcohol just like a nearby Wawa in Horsham Township.

HATBORO, PA ?Borough officials fought against the Wawa convenience store. Then they fought against the store selling alcohol after it opened.
The store now sits on the corner of York and Horsham roads. And the Wawa is now selling wine and beer.
In a public hearing last year, Hatboro Borough Council had voted 5-2 to reject a liquor license transfer at a public hearing before 25 people in which Wawa pitched plans to sell alcohol.

But Wawa challenged the ruling and borough officials settled Wawa's appeal after being advised that a court battle would be costly.
Wawa had sought to transfer a liquor license from a Norristown business to 412 S. York Rd. location, but the council balked with some residents worried about whether minors might be served or whether any intoxicated people would be a disruption in an area where borough homes are nearby.
