Byberry Road In Hatboro To Close For Pipe Work

Borough officials say a sewer pipe authority emergency caused the need for the work, planned for Thursday.

HATBORO, PA — Byberry Road in Hatboro will be closed on Thursday as crews work on an issue with a water pipe there.

The borough announced that "an Upper Moreland Hatboro Joint Sewer Authority emergency" led to the issue. The road will be closed between S. Penn Street and York Road from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for the work.

Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route and plan for traffic delays in the area.

Barricades and workers will be in place at York Road and Penn Street to direct motorists away from the closure, the borough said. The work is expected to be completed Thursday, but if the repairs are more extensive than believed, it could continue on Friday, the borough announced.
