Flash Flood Watch Issued For Hatboro
"Dangerous" conditions could occur throughout the region, as thunderstorms and rain continue to sweep across the Delaware Valley.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Montgomery County, effective from 12:34 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday night.
“A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to a rapid rise of water to dangerous levels,” the National Weather Service (NWS) said in an announcement. “Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Authorities recommend the following actions:

- Build an emergency kit and make a family communications plan.
- Elevate the furnace, water heater and electric panel in your home if you live in an area that has a high flood risk.
- Consider installing “check valves” to prevent flood water from backing up into the drains of your home.
- If feasible, construct barriers to stop floodwater from entering the building and seal walls in basements with waterproofing compounds.
