HORSHAM, PA — Want a free smoothie? Well, the new Planet Smoothie in Horsham has got you covered.

Opened on Saturday, the smoothie shop will be hosting a grand-opening giveaway on Wednesday, May 15. After noon, the first 50 customers to come into the store, at 575 Horsham Rd. in the Horsham Corner Shopping Center, will get a free, 16-ounce smoothie.

The two complimentary flavors customers can choose from will be Lunar Lemonade (strawberry and banana with a splash of lemonade) and Crazy Bee (mango, strawberries and honey).

The franchise owner is Sherrell Oliver-Riley, a local actress whose most recent credits include "New Amsterdam" (NBC) and "Power" (Starz). Married with two children, Oliver-Riley attended St. Joseph's University for both undergrad and graduate school.

"I chose to open a Planet Smoothie not only because I love the product, but as a mom on the go, I am committed to bringing both convenient and healthy options to families in the area," she said. "I'm really excited to get this store ope, and I'm ready for what could be the most significant role of my career."

Planet Smoothie offers more than 30 different smoothie options, available in 16, 22, 32 and 42-ounce options. Customers can choose from Planet Favorites, Planet Lite, Superfood, Energy and Protein smoothies, and prices range from $4.72 for the smallest option, to $9.34 for the largest.
