Go Birds! Horsham Cheerleader Joins Eagles Squad

Cassie Boone, a graduate of St. Joseph's University, is one of 11 new cheerleaders for the Philadelphia Eagles.

HORSHAM, PA — Of hundreds who auditioned over a three-month process, Cassie Boone was one of only 11 new members selected to cheerlead for the Philadelphia Eagles this year. The Horsham local will be joining the team in their 2021 season.

As a cheerleader, Boone will be both "a brand ambassador and entertainer." She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration, and is currently pursuing a master's degree at Gwynedd Mercy University.

In the announcement on Friday morning, the team said interested cheerleaders spanned 24 states as well as Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, and Canada. Only 48 contestants made it to the final audition.
