Hatboro To Decide On Memorial Pool 2020 Season

Borough council will decide on the 2020 pool season on Monday, but officials are already releasing info on how to buy memberships.

HATBORO, PA — Haboro's borough council is expected to decide Monday whether Memorial Pool will be opened for the 2020 season.

The issue will be considered at the council's June 22 meeting.

If the opening of the pool, at 330 W. Moreland Ave., is approved, memberships will be sold via appointment only beginning Tuesday, June 23, borough officials said Wednesday. Anyone interested in getting a pool membership will be asked to call Borough Hall at 215-443-9100 to be added to the wait list.

Once memberships are available, staff will contact everyone on the waiting list to schedule appointments, which are designed to help with social distancing requirements at Borough Hall.

Under Pennsylvania's coronavirus guidelines, public and community pools may open in counties in the green and yellow phases of the state plan.
