Hatboro Newsletter Wins State's Top Borough Newsletter
The December issue, featuring the late Fire Chief Mike Aiman, was picked as best newsletter

The Hatboro newsletter received top honors by the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs.
Diane Hegele and Deena DRenzis, who produce the newsletter, won the award for the December issue that featured the life of former Enterprise Fire Company Chief Mike Aiman, who passed away last summer.
“I’m very happy about it,” said Hegele, who is the assistant Burough Secretary. “We work very hard to put out that publication.”

She added: “I go out and talk to people to get information, and it takes about a month to put everything together,”
The writers have been accustomed to winning awards in recent years. The newsletter has won first and second-place in recent years.

The secret to their success is “getting information that people want to know about and read about,” Hegele said.
Hegele added: “I was excited about it because of the hard work we put in, [and] myself and the staff put in , to get information out to residents.”
