Hatboro Resident, Local Mom, Passes At 61
Hatboro's Laura Spengler loved her children, scary movies, art, and animals.

HATBORO, PA — Laura Spengler, of Hatboro, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was 61. Laura was born on July 12, 1956 in New York City, NY to the late Ernest H. & Dorothy C. Spengler. She graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School and studied sculpture and painting at Montgomery County Community College and Tyler School of Art.
Laura was a Certified Phlebotomist, stay at home mom, Go-go dancer, Playboy Bunny, and worked at the Great Gorge Valley Playboy Club in Vernon, NJ from around late 1978-1980. Her passions early on were her children, scary B movies, art, animals, and helping people in need. The family would like to thank the city of Hatboro for the years of joy it provided to Laura.
Laura is survived by her sons, David Setzman and Ryan Setzman and her brothers, Kenneth Spengler (Margaret), Ernie Spengler, Jr. (Kathy) and Michael Spengler (Cathy).

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, June 15, 2018 after 10 AM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N York Road, Hatboro until the time of her Memorial Service at 11 AM with Pastor Sean Quinlan officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Laura’s life. Her interment will immediately follow in Hatboro Cemetery.
