ROYERSFORD, PA — Christopher D. Schmitt, age 67, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at his home.

Born on September 9, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Robert and Janet (Lawson) Schmitt. He was a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School and Temple University, where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Chris worked as a Mechanical Engineer for many years at Yarway, C.B. Ives, and lastly at Proconex before retiring.

He was a member and active servant of Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, Royersford, PA. His interests and activities included photography and videography, classic rock music, parades, car and air shows, the Philadelphia Phillies and farm teams.

Mr. Schmitt is survived by four children, Patricia A. Schmitt of Secaucus, NJ, Robert M. Schmitt of Southampton, PA, Karen A. (Brenden) Uhll of Southampton, PA, and Kristen A. Schmitt of Hatboro, PA. He is also survived by two brothers, Stephen R. (Suzanne) Schmitt of Boxborough, MA, Peter R. Schmitt of Hatboro, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Church of the Epiphany, 209 South 3rd Avenue, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be The Rev. Beth W. Hixon. Following the funeral, the Burial will be held at The Church of the Messiah Cemetery, Lower Gwynedd, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.
