When did you go into business?

June of 2003

How did you come up with the name?

“We were having dinner with friends downtown, throwing around ideas. It came to a choice of Flamingo Rose (a take on Flamingo Rhodes) or Rose in Bloom. Well, guess which one won out.”

Why start a business here?

“We actually started our business in New Hope, after being flooded 3 times it was time to move. We down sized from having a gift shop retail flowers and events to just doing events.”

“We wanted to stay in a town and, our present location serves as a business location and home. Hatboro is also convenient to major highways. We do a lot of work in Philadelphia, New Jersey as well as the surrounding suburbs as well as destination events.”

What business are you in?

“We are in the “make your party fabulous” on a budget business.”

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

“Our most difficult challenge was successfully doing a very large wedding in Center City (Philadelphia) the same weekend of the last flood in New Hope, all while moving out of the building.”

What’s been your favorite moment/proudest achievement since opening?

“Every event we do is a proud achievement but, pulling off a destination wedding in Key West had to be the best, and there are many stories associated with some of our other events.”

How does your business give back/get involved in the community?

“We are members of the Hatboro Chamber of Commerce and get to decorate for the Hatboro Ball, The Hatboro Library, The Chamber of Commerce window, Night with Santa, The Hatboro Rotary dinner and, most recently, the opening of the new YMCA facility.”

“All of this is done at cost or free.”
