Horsham Contractor Receives Jail Time, Ordered to Pay Back Customers

Charles Gorman will spend at least nine months in Bucks County prison and pay moe than $49,000 back to customers.

A Horsham contractor received jail time and was ordered to pay back close to $50,000 in restitution at his sentencing hearing on April 2.

Charles Gorman, 47, will spend at least nine months and possibly up to 23 months in Bucks County prison, as well as pay back $49, 483 to former customers of Charles R. Gorman Custom Carpentry in Horsham.

Gorman pleaded guilty in February to six charges, including stealing from customers and deceitful business practices. He was accused of taking advanced payments for home improvements, but never completing the work.

The customers were located in Horsham, Warminster, Upper Southampton, Quakertown, Churchville and Phoenixville.
