Horsham's Scatter Joy Center for the Arts Hosts 'Songwriters in the Round'

Three local singer-songwriters will sing their own songs and harmonize together during this unique event in Horsham.

HORSHAM, PA — Inspired by the tradition launched by the iconic Blue Bird Café in Nashville, three local singer-songwriters will come together in Horsham to sing their own songs and harmonize together, the Scatter Joy Center for the Arts announced in a press release.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 16. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

The concert, featuring Rick Denzien, Anthony Viscounte and Geri Smith, will take place on the farmhouse stage at the Horsham arts center, the release states.

Co-sponsored by the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and Thrive Station, it will showcase a range of styles, from extreme folk to alt rock, blues and ballads, country and Americana, and a touch of jazz, Scatter Joy said.

Following the performances in the round, the stage will be open to all songwriters to share their original music.

The Scatter Joy Center for the Arts is a nonprofit founded on the simple belief that art makes a difference. Through classes spanning a range of visual and performing arts, gallery exhibits, music performances, mentorship and philanthropic projects, SJCA supports the individual exploration of creativity while fostering community engagement.

Scatter Joy is located on 305 Horsham Road. Tickets are $10.
