Longtime Horsham Man Who Served on Parks and Rec Board Passes At 78
Horsham's Albert G. Edling was also a horticulturalist for the National Park Service.

Albert G. Edling, 78, of Horsham, PA, passed away on December 10, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Mitros) Edling for 56 years.

Albert was born in Roxborough, PA on November 15, 1938 to the late Albert O. and Emma (Brown) Edling.
He was a graduate of Roxborough High School and received his B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Delaware Valley College.

Albert was self-employed and owner of Bloodgood Landscape Corp. for over 47 years, a horticulturist for National Park Services at Independence Hall, Co-Director for Job Corp in Massachusetts.
Albert enjoyed hunting in Sullivan County, PA and loved spending time with his family.
Along with his wife Eleanor, he is survived by his 5 children: Judith Morrissey (Mark), Cynthia Wood (Robert), Alison Kelly (John Brady), Paul Edling (Kelli), David Edling (Michele); 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Coyne and Carol Kern.
He was predeceased by a brother John Edling.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6PM to 9PM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 and on Saturday from 10AM to 11:30AM at the Church.
Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
