Man Accidentally Shoots Self In Hatboro
The 29-year-old man was cleaning a legally owned handgun, according to police.
HATBORO, PA — Reports of a shooting in Hatboro on Monday turned out to be a man who accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun.
A 29-year-old man was cleaning a legally owned 9mm handgun on Monday when he accidentally discharged a round, striking himself in the leg, said Hatboro Police Department spokesman Sgt. James Petrik.
Petrik said the man's injury was not life-threatening and that he was taken by ambulance to Abington Hospital for treatment.
