Montco Native Wins Title With Soul, Signed by Eagles: Reports
It's been a pretty incredible week for Souderton native Jake Metz.

Just a matter of days ago, Souderton native Jake Metz was on the field with the Philadelphia Soul, the city's Arena Football League team, battling for a championship title.
Metz, 25, a defensive end, helped the Soul prevail, playing a key role in the game by forcing a fumble.

"I think they give everybody a fair shot," he told PhillyVoice. "I think my play on Thursday will show [what I can do] and depending on how good I do will dictate whether I'm on the team or not."
For Metz, who grew up cheering for the Eagles and played football for both Souderton Area High School and Shippensburg University before the Soul, it is undoubtedly been a surreal experience.
The Eagles beat the Jets Thursday night, 24-17. Metz tallied one tackle and played in the end of the first and second quarters.
