The Old Mill In Hatboro Reopens As Event Space
Hatboro's historic Old Mill - this time named "Pennypack Mill" - is open again.

HATBORO, PA — Hatboro's historic Old Mill - this time named "Pennypack Mill" - is open again.
The 292-year-old former grist mill was reopened to much fanfare in the summer of 2016 as a restaurant, Louie's Old Mill. However, the business was not able to make enough money to remain open and it shut down abruptly in Jan. 2018.
The new operation bills itself as an "elegantly rustic event space" for corporate outings, celebrations, weddings, and other special events. The three floors can hold celebrations from 30 to 120 guests, owners say.

The building originally operated as a grain mill in the 18th and 19th centuries before becoming a machine shop for milling parts, before eventually being converted to a tea room and then a restaurant in the 1900s.
