'Pack The Patrol Car' Planned In Horsham
Volunteers are hoping to gather food donations despite there being fewer shoppers out this year due to the coronavirus.
HORSHAM, PA — Volunteers in Horsham are hoping shoppers staying home due to the coronavirus won't mean fewer donations during their drive for local food banks this year.
Horsham Police, Giant and Horsham's community policing program (ChATS) are joining forces for the annual Pack the Patrol Car food drive. This year, the drive will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Horsham Giant store, at 314 Horsham Rd.
They're asking people to donate non-perishable food items at a cruiser that will be set up near the entrance to the supermarket. The food will be donated to the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
