Police Charge Hatboro Man With Burglary After Setting Up Meeting
Suspect is accused of trying to sell stolen items after robbing Farah's Gift Shop

Hatboro police have charged a man with burglary after he allegedly attempted to sell stolen items to undercover officers on March 28.
Joseph McCaffery, 26, of the 200 block of North York Road, was also charged with criminal trespassing, and receiving stolen property. He was transported to Montgomery County prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Farah’s Gift Shop owner told police his business was burglarized overnight, after noticing a smashed window and missing jewelry and cellphones.

The stolen items were advertised online later in the day, gaining the attention of the police, who made contact with the seller. Police set up a meeting at 6 p.m. the same day.
Police say McCaffery showed up to the meeting with some of the alleged stolen items, and was taken into custody. Police used a search warrant on McCaffrey’s residence and found additional pieces of jewelry said to be stolen from Farah’s.
