Power Outage More Than Just Inconvenience For Hatboro Residents
Days after the storm knocked their power out, Hatboro residents are wondering when they can expect the lights to come back on.

HATBORO, PA — Other than downed trees and wires, there seems to be little evidence of the storm's blizzard conditions left on the streets. All the snow melted almost immediately; most of it by the end of the day Saturday. There was no ice, no plummeting freezing temperatures. The sun shone bright over the weekend. But some 8,300 residents across Montgomery County are still left without power.
For one some Hatboro residents, the storm and its associated outages have been more than just an inconvenience. Susie Delp, who lives on Armour Road, said she has a rare nuerological disorder that requires an immunoglobulin infusion. When the power went out, she was in the middle of an infusion.
"Unless I want to check myself into the hospital at further expense, I can’t even continue my treatment," Delp said.

Across Hatboro, there are only 18 residents that are without power, a small percentage of the overall outages in the county. On Delp's block, there are only five outages. She said PECO told her they were marked as "low priority." She added that there are also elderly residents on the block without power who live alone.
According to outage maps, their block is estimated to have power returned by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday. Delp hopes they come sooner.

"I am well aware that everyone has a sob story," Delp said. "It is just so cold and miserable"
Another storm is forecasted to hit the region on Wednesday, bringing perhaps a foot of snow or more. Additional power outages are possible.
