The pedestrian bridge will connect Pennypack Elementary School to Horsham Road, officials say. Parking will be restricted next Thursday.

HATBORO, PA — Parking restrictions are set to go into effect next Thursday morning in Hatboro for the installation of a new bridge at Pennypack Elemenary School.
The pedestrian bridge, which will connect Pennypack with Horsham Road, is scheduled to be delivered on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 18, according to borough officials. Parking restrictions will be in place on both sides and all parts of W. Lehman Avenue and Spring Avenue, Hatboro Police say.
Metered parking on the east side of S. York Road, between Lehman and Fulmor Avenue, also will be prohibited Thursday morning. The restrictions begin at 7 a.m. next Thursday.

Authorities say that, for the over-sized tractor trailers needed to deliver the bridge to get there safely, all parked vehicles must be removed from the streets.
"We hope to have legal on-street parking restored as soon as possible on the date of delivery," police said on info-sharing site Nixle. "We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as the completion of this public improvement project nears."
