Work On Davis Grove Road Bridge Starts Next Week

The work in Horsham is expected to take about six months and will call for a road closure and detour.

HORSHAM, PA — Six months of work to rebuild the bridge over Park Creek on Davis Grove Road in Horsham is scheduled to begin next week.

Crews are set to begin work on the job, which will require that Davis Grove Road be closed, on Monday, Dec. 7 and it is scheduled to run through Monday, June 7.

The stone arch bridge over Park Creek was built in 1911 and the last significant repair work on it was done in 1980.

Montgomery County commissioners approved the bridge's rebuilding in 2017. The roughly $287,000 project was one of 19 approved by commissioners at the time.

On Tuesday, Horsham Township shared a map showing the detour of the closure, which will reroute traffic between Keith Valley Road and Midfield Drive.
