2009 Truman Grad Passes Away At 27

Dillon Godwin, a 2009 Truman graduate, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 2. He was 27.

Dillon A. Godwin of Bucks County passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017. He was 27.

Born in Langhorne, he was the beloved son of Karen Godwin (step-father Raymond Gintowt) and Patrick J. Barkley (step-mother Debra Barkley).

In addition to his parents, Dillon is survived by his grandparents, Chris and Joan Godwin, and Joseph P. and Diane Barkley; his sisters, Kaleigh Gintowt, Nicole Gantley, Emmalee Barkley, and Coreena Barkley; and his fiancée, Jamie Sheets.

Dillon lived in Bucks County, having graduated from Harry S. Truman High School, Class of 2009, and most recently had been studying to be a phlebotomist at Bucks County Community College.

Dillon’s life passion was music. He was an accomplished singer and musician, playing both the drums and guitar. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends and had worked for Monty’s Sandwich Shop in Southampton. He will be sadly missed for his beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and genuine heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown- Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and to attend his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966. His interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dillon’s name to the Music Department of Harry S. Truman High School, 3001 Green Lane, Levittown, PA 19057.
