A wet and gloomy commute is in store for PA on Tuesday thanks to lingering early morning showers and storms, forecasters say.

PENNSYLVANIA - A wet and gloomy commute is in store for the region on Tuesday thanks to lingering early morning showers and storms, forecasters say.

Localized flooding, as well as damaging wind gusts, are possible due to heavy rain and strong storms Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Patchy fog is also expected before 8 a.m., forecasters said.

As of Tuesday morning, 10 Pennsylvania counties are under a hazardous weather outlook through the evening. The affected areas are:

Showers are expected to taper out after 10 a.m., with skies becoming partly sunny with a high near 81 in the afternoon. Tuesday night?s temperatures will drop to a chilly low around 56 degrees, with the rest of the week cruising at temperatures in the low-80s, per AccuWeather.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of showers between 8 and 10 a.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the morning. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 59. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 79. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 50.
