5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County In August

The final month of summer is here and there is plenty going on to keep you busy before school begins again. Here are five events happening in Bucks County during August that you don't want to miss:

First Friday Night Fireworks

Friday night fireworks are held during the summer season along the Delaware River on the first Friday of the month. In August, the fireworks will be held on Aug. 4. Fireworks are visible along the Delaware River in New Hope and Lambertville around 9:30 p.m. Click here for details.

Middletown Grange Fair

The 69th Annual Middletown Grange Fair kicks off next month in Wrightstown Township. The classic Bucks County fair will be held from Wednesday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Aug. 20. If you've never been here's what you can expect: a carnival-like amusement area, animal demonstrations, 4-H projects on display, tons of food, live music and lots of other entertainment. Fonthill Castle Beer Fest

The Fonthill Castle Beer Fest will be held Aug. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Doylestown. The event will feature beers from local, regional and national breweries in the outdoor setting of Fonthill Castle. General admission tickets are $55. Click here for details.

Back to School Food Truck Bash

Peddler's Village has hosted a series of food truck nights throughout the summer. Called Village Food Trucks, the events are on select Thursday nights at Peddler's Village, in the grassy area across from the Buttonwood Grill. $1 Movies For Kids

There will be four more $1 movies for kids this summer at the Regal Theaters in Warrington. On Aug 1 and 2, the theater will screen "Happy Feet Two" and "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore." Then on Aug. 8 and 9, there will be "Storks" and "The Lego Batman Movie." Click here for details.
