$516M Mega Millions Ticket Sold At Bucks Co. 7-Eleven

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — If you're feeling lucky and recently played the Mega Millions lottery, you might want to check your tickets as soon as possible. Someone in Bucks County is about to be a lot richer! That's because one lucky ticket holder won the giant jackpot worth an estimated $516 million.

The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 2760 Trenton Rd. in Levittown, Pennsylvania Lottery officials confirmed. The convenience store will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

“The Pennsylvania Lottery congratulates the big winner of this historic jackpot, and 7-Eleven for selling the big Mega Millions winning jackpot ticket,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “Thanks to our network of more than 9,600 retailers and players across Pennsylvania, the lottery is continuing to fulfill its mission of responsibly generating funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.”

The winner matched all six numbers drawn Friday night – the white balls 6, 9, 17, 18 and 48, plus the gold Mega Ball 8 — in one of the largest Mega Millions jackpots in history, and the largest ever won during the month of May, Mega Millions announced in a statement following the drawing.

This latest win makes the third, and largest Mega Millions jackpot won in Pennsylvania since the state joined the game in 2010. A Pittsburgh man won a $149 million prize on May 20, 2014, and a Virginia truck driver while on his route in Pennsylvania won a $153 million jackpot on July 21, 2015.

If you're not the latest Mega Millions millionaire, don't worry! The jackpot for the next drawing on Tuesday, May 25 resets to its current starting value of $20 million.
