Bridge Over I-295 In Middletown To Be Fixed: Governor
The bridge is one of eight bridges in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties to be improved in a newly announced project.
MIDDLETOWN, PA — The bridge over Interstate 295 in Middletown is one of eight bridges in poor condition that will be fixed up in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties.
The Big Oak Road bridge is part of an improvement project set to begin late this month, Gov. Tom Wolf announced Wednesday.
"This bridge improvement project is our latest in the ongoing effort to improve bridges throughout the state, and to ensure a safe transportation network for all Pennsylvanians," Wolf said in a news release.

The work will begin July 29, when the bridge carrying Stonybrook Road over Jericho Creek in Upper Makefield will be closed and detoured for construction.
The same day, work on the bridge carrying South Sugan Road over Aquetong Creek in New Hope also will begin.

No date has been publicly announced for work on the Big Oak Road bridge in Middletown to begin. Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in late 2020.
Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester in Chester County, is the general contractor on this $4.4 million bridge improvement project that is financed with 100 percent state funds.
