Bristol Opens Shelter Amid Power Outages, Strong Winds

Temperatures were expected to drop into the 20s Monday night and some residents remained without power, Bristol officials said.

BRISTOL, PA — With power outages being reported and high winds still whipping the area, Bristol Township officials announced they'd be opening a shelter for Monday night.

The shelter will be at the Bristol Township Senior Center, located at the municipal complex at 2501 Bath Rd.

Emergency Management Director Kevin Dippolito said the decision to open the shelter was made because of the temperatures and the number of power outages being reported in parts of Bristol Township.
