Bristol Twp. Planning Department Closed Due To COVID

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Bristol Township's building and planning department is closed Friday after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

The township announced the closure on social media Thursday evening.

After the employee's positive COVID-19 test, the department is cleaning and disinfecting the planning office and department staff are being tested "in an abundance of caution," the township announced.

The department plans to reopen on Monday.

The closure comes as Bucks County is in the middle of a fall surge of the virus. The county's 826 new cases last week was the most since the pandemic began and last Friday's 161 new cases reported was the most in a single day.
