Bristol Woman Is New 'Jeopardy!' Champion

BRISTOL, PA — A woman from Bristol is now the reigning "Jeopardy!" champion.
Meghan Schulz is an environmental engineer who works for SEPTA and lives in Bristol. On the "Jeopardy!" episode that aired Thursday, she took down the reigning champion, finishing with a one-day total of $27,190.
She sealed her victory by correctly answering a Final Jeopardy question in the category "Female Singers." The clue was: "In the 1990s, this New York native had 8 of her first 10 Billboard Top 40 hits reach No. 1." Schulz knew the correct response was "Mariah Carey."

She'll attempt to extend her win streak, and add to her total winnings, on the "Jeopardy!" episode that airs Friday evening.
"Jeopardy!" airs weeknights at 7 p.m. locally on ABC-6.
