The second nor'easter in a week walloped the area, causing tens of thousands of power outages and impassable roads.

By late morning, snow covered the roads and things only got worse as the day wore on. A heavy, wet snow caused widespread power outages just days after Friday's storm knocked out electricity for thousands. As of 9 p.m. Wednesday, more than 73,000 PECO customers in Bucks County were without electricity.

As much as 16 inches fell in some parts of Bucks County. Here is a look at the snow totals, town by town.

Here are the impacts the storm had in Bucks County:

  • Power outages were reported in high numbers. At one point during the storm, total Bucks County outages exceeded 80,000. Click here for the latest information on outages. To report an outage, call 1-800-841-4141.
  • Police reported impassable roads, saying there were vehicles stuck on roadways and live wires. "Many trees down along with power lines. Power outages being reported throughout the township," Solebury Police said.
  • School districts across Bucks County announced closures for Thursday. Click here for the latest on school closures.
  • Bucks Co. News Feed reported Veterans Highway Road was blocked between Frosty Hollow Road and Trenton Rd in Levittown.
  • Bensalem officials reported heavy snow with many trees and wires down throughout the township. "If you don’t need to be out on the roads please stay home," Bensalem Fire Rescue tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
  • Lower Makefield Township Police responded to "numerous" calls for trees down throughout the area.
  • Easton Road at County Line Road in Warrington Township was closed due to a jackknifed tractor trailer and other disabled vehicles. "One tractor trailer is jack-knifed, multiple others cannot make it up the hill. Please avoid this intersection and try and stay off the roads during these almost whiteout conditions," Warrington Police said.
  • Officials in Buckingham reported numerous trees and wires down."We are seeing more cars on the road and as expected numerous accidents and disabled cars," Buckingham Township EMA tweeted.
  • Police agencies across the county strongly advised residents to stay off the roads.
  • Pennsylvania was under a state of emergency Wednesday, and unnecessary travel was not advised.
  • The Oxford Valley Mall closed at 3 p.m. due to the storm.
  • SEPTA altered its regional rail schedule for Wednesday, and several delays were reported.
  • Speed limits on many area highways were reduced.
  • The PA Turnpike restricted empty, straight CDL weighted trucks, large combination vehicles, tractors hauling empty trailers, trailers pulled by passenger vehicles, motorcycles and RVs on I-76 between Harrisburg and Valley Forge and I-276 between Valley Forge and New Jersey and Pa. Turnpike I-476 between Mid County and Clarks Summit.
