Fundraiser Launched For Rt. 1 Crash Victim's Funeral
Family members of the 29-year-old, who live in the Levittown area, say they don't know why she was on the highway before 3:30 a.m.

MIDDLETOWN, PA — Family members have launched an online fundraiser to help pay funeral expenses for a woman who was killed in an early-morning hit-and-run crash in Middletown on Monday.
Alexandra Ridgway, 29, was killed when she was struck by several different vehicles in the southbound lanes of Rt. 1 shortly before 3:30 a.m. Monday. None of those vehicles stopped after striking her, according to police.
Her brother, Michael Egan, started the fundraiser on crowdfunding site GoFundMe. As of about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, it had raised $9,443.

In his post, Egan said Alexandra had struggled with mental health issues and that family members don't know why she was walking on or alongside the highway so early in the morning.
On the GoFundMe page, many donors were also leaving their condolences for her family members, at least some of whom live in the Levittown area.

"This is terrible. So sorry for your loss. Sending love and healing," one donor wrote.
"I know how it feels to lose people you care about and nothing can bring them back but laying them to rest is a start," wrote another.
Police continued to investigate the deadly crash on Tuesday, saying that leads in the case had taken officers to Philadelphia, Montgomery County and elsewhere.
In Philadelphia, multiple sources, including NBC10, were reporting that a woman's arm was found on the side of the road there later Monday morning. The arm was found along the 8800 block of Pine Road; investigators have not publicly said how they believe the body part got there.
