Get Free Grilled Cheese For A Year In Langhorne

LANGHORNE, PA — Diners in the Oxford Valley area will have a new option starting on Saturday — as well as a chance to get free grilled cheese sandwiches for a year.

Melt Shop, the "melted sandwich" chain, will be opening a new location in Lincoln Plaza, at 2490 E. Lincoln Hwy.

At Saturday's grand opening, the first customer in line will get a free, classic grilled cheese sandwich per week for a year and the next 49 will get one free per month.

Drew Smith, who already owns five Melt Shop locations and 29 Five Guys locations across the Philadelphia area, will be the owner of the Langhorne franchise. He has plans to develop another 17 Melt Shop locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

"We opened our second and third Pennsylvania Melt Shop restaurants in Newtown and Downingtown in 2019 and we're eager to kick off 2020 with our newest restaurant in Langhorne," Smith said. "It's our goal to bring Melt Shop to as many people in the greater Philadelphia area as we possibly can. We’re excited to open in Langhorne and look forward to continuing to expand the melted sandwich movement across the state and beyond."

Grand-opening giveaways will continue through Monday, March 2, at the Langhorne shop. On Sunday, the first 50 guests at opening and the first 50 after 6 p.m. will get a free Nutella shake.

On Monday, the first 100 guests will get a free order of shop tots. To win, participants must be at least 16 and will be required to download the Melt Shop app.

Melt Shop is the most recent in a string of restaurants and other businesses to open in Lincoln Plaza and the surrounding area in recent months. Chipotle opened in the plaza in December, a month after neighboring Metro Diner opened its doors.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries also is set to open this spring.

Officials in Middletown Township, which includes Langhorne, have made bringing new businesses to the Oxford Valley Mall area a top priority.

Melt Shop was founded in New York City in 2011. In addition to melts, its menu includes chicken tenders, tots, salads, shakes, cheeseburgers and more.

Melt Shop in Langhorne will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. every day.
