GoFundMe Established For Bucks Co. Man Killed In Hit-And-Run
Police and the District Attorney's Office are still seeking information in the Tuesday death of Daniel Santiago, a Bristol firefighter.

LEVITTOWN, PA — Family members of Daniel Santiago, the Bristol firefighter who died in a hit-and-run Tuesday, have established a GoFundMe campaign to aid in his funeral and burial expenses.
Santiago, 53, was a volunteer firefighter and lifetime member of Goodwill Hose Company's Station 52. His loved ones are hoping to raise $10,000 to cover expenses in honoring his memory.
"Those who knew Danny knew how much joy he got out of helping others," the GoFundMe reads.

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office and Bristol Township Police Department don't yet know the identity of the driver who struck and killed Santiago while he was biking along the 5500 block of Bristol Pike. They are seeking help and information from the public.
When police received a report that a pedestrian may have been hit at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, they found Santiago deceased on the road's right shoulder with his bike several feet away and "obvious trauma throughout his body."

Police say the complainants did not witness the crash, and that any involved vehicle likely has front-end damage.
In a tribute Tuesday, Station 52 urged those with information in the case to come forward.
"Yesterday we were reminded how short life really is," Santiago's niece wrote on GoFundMe. "Take a minute to take a photo, answer that call/text or just a simple hug to tell them you love them because you never know when it will be your last."
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has knowledge about the case is asked to call Sergeant C.J. Winik or Officer Pat Kitchenman at 267-812-3053, or to email Sergeant Winik at cwinik142@bristoltpd.org.
