Halloween Parade Set In Bristol Township

The holiday event will be at the new municipal park and masks and social distancing will be required.

BRISTOL, PA — After months of holiday cancellations in the area, Bristol Township will be going ahead with plans for a socially distanced Halloween parade.

The parade is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the new Bristol Township Municipal Park amphitheater.

"The best part about having a new park with a huge event space is our ability to spread out!" Bristol Township's parks and recreation department said in a social media post promoting the parade.

Participants in the parade are encouraged to arrive by 10:45 a.m. There will be costume prizes in several categories and the first 150 children to arrive will get candy bags. No registration is required.

In keeping with COVID-19 safety regulations, everyone attending will be required to wear a mask (an approved face covering, not just a Halloween mask) and participants are urged to keep a distance between themselves and others not in their households.
