Haunted House In Fairless Hills Among Local Weekend Happenings

Halloween is just days away, and there are plenty of celebrations planned over the weekend in Bucks County. Here are five things going on this weekend in Bucks County you might want to know about:

Haunted House and Haunted Hayride

Hosted by the Fairless Hills Athletic Association, this Haunted House and Haunted Hayride event will be held Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. on Austin Drive in Fairless Hills. It's $6 to get into the hayride, and $6 to get into the haunted house, or $10 do to both. If you wear a sports jersey, you'll get $1 off. Click here for details.

Canal-O-Ween

Approximately 300 Jack-O-Lanterns will be carved during a free family event from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday in Yardley. They'll then be placed along the towpath, and you can see them evenings through Nov. 4. Click here for details.

The Rocky Horror Show

Five performances of the "The Rocky Horror Show" are scheduled this weekend at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope. The show is choreographed by Lorin Latarro and directed by Hunter Foster. There are two Friday night performances (7 and 11 p.m.), two Saturday night performance (7 and 11 p.m.), and a Sunday 3 p.m. matinee. Click here for ticket information and more details.

Newtown Halloween Parade

The parade, open to all, will be held Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at The Stocking Works parking lot on South State Street in Newtown Borough. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The parade marches down State Street, ending at the Newtown Theatre, where prizes will be given out following the event. Click here for details.

Doylestown Spooktacular Parade

The Doylestown Spooktacular Parade, for children ages 2 through 10 and well-socialized dog, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.. It begins at the Bucks County Courthouse lawn and proceeds to E. State Street. It is organized by Discover Doylestown. Click here for details.
