The election was last week and results were announced on Tuesday, ABC News reported.
Claus, the former president of the North Pole Chamber of Commerce, told the news network in an interview that he is looking forward to serving the “great community.”

Claus is a cancer patient and child advocate who uses medical marijuana and supports opening medical marijuana dispensaries in North Pole, ABC News said.
According to his Facebook profile, which is public, Claus is the only man legally named Santa Claus to ever to live in North Pole, Alaska.
