Lanes To Close On I-95 In Bucks Co. For Work

PennDOT crews will be replacing damaged guard rails in the area next week, the department announced Thursday.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Lanes on Interstate 95 in Bristol and Bensalem will be closed next week for PennDOT crews to do work in the area.

The closures, on I-95 and Rt. 63 (Woodhaven Road), are for crews to do guide rail repairs, PennDOT announced Thursday.

The work schedule for the project is:

  • Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Aug, 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road and Bristol interchanges in Bensalem and Bristol townships
  • Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., lane closures are scheduled on the ramp from southbound I-95 to Woodhaven Road in Bensalem Township
  • Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 6, weekdays, from 9 p.m.-5 a.m., lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Broad Street Interchange and Bucks County line in Philadelphia
  • Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 6, weekdays, from 9 p.m.-5 a.m., lane closures are scheduled on Rt. 63 (Woodhaven Road) between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and the I-95 Interchange in Philadelphia

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns are expected to occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
