Lanes On U.S. 1 In Middletown, Falls To Close Next Week

The daytime closures will allow PennDOT crews to repair damaged guard rails in the area.

MIDDLETOWN, PA — Lanes on U.S. 1 in Falls and Middletown townships are scheduled to be closed next week as crews work to repair guard rails.

The work schedule, announced Thursday by PennDOT, is as follows:

  • Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. A right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between Pennsylvania Avenue and Rockhill Drive in Falls and Middletown townships.
  • Tuesday, June 11 through Friday, June 14, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. A left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 213 (Maple Avenue) and Rockhill Drive in Middletown Township.
  • Friday, June 14, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. A right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between Pennsylvania Avenue and Rockhill Drive in Falls and Middletown townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns are expected to occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent, PennDOT said.
