Langhorne Woman To Appear On 'Wheel Of Fortune' Wednesday

Tune into 'Wheel of Fortune' this Wednesday. Two best friends from Bucks County will be contestants, including a Langhorne woman.

LANGHORNE, PA — Two women from Bucks County, including a Langhorne mother of three, will be a contestants on "Wheel of Fortune" this Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Tara Laffey of Newtown will join best friend Meghan Berkis of Langhorne as contestants during the game show's “Girlfriend Getaways” week. The show airs at 7:30 p.m. on WPVI (6ABC).

Meghan and Tara have been best friends for 29 years, since they met in high school.

Berkis is an aesthetic nurse specialist and mother of three. She has been married to her husband, Phil, for 12 years. According to information from the show, Berkis remembers watching Wheel when she was young and now tunes in with her kids every night. She also applied through WheelofFortune.com.

Laffey is a mother of two daughters who loves cooking, exercising, and volunteering at a local retirement community and at her girls’ school. After over 30 years of loyal viewing, Laffey applied to be a contestant on the show's website, WheelofFortune.com, according to information from show representatives.

As part of the "Girlfriend Getaways" week, the two friends will be competing against two other best friend pairs. Prizes include vacations, new cars, and cash.
