​Levittown Ambulance, SUV Damaged In Head-On Crash

There were no passengers in the ambulance at the time of the crash.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Levittown emergency medical services workers were left with minor injuries early Sunday when the ambulance they were driving was struck by a wrong-way driver.

Levittown Station 13, a local fire station of Company No.2 in Bucks County, posted photos of the aftermath of the crash on Instagram. The photos show both an ambulance and a dark colored SUV with serious damage to the front end of the vehicles.

According to the post, the crash happened just after 12:30 a.m. on New Falls Road, between Apple Tree and Red Cedar Drive.

EMS staff in the ambulance had minor injuries, according to the post. There was not a passenger in the ambulance at the time of the crash.

It's unclear how many people were in the SUV or if they were injured.

Bristol Township Police are conducting an investigation into the crash. A police spokesperson did not immediately return a request for more information.
