Man Accused of Lewd Behavior at Oxford Valley Movie Theater

A Langhorne man is accused of showing nude photos on his phone to underage girls Saturday night.

A Langhorne man faces multiple misdemeanor charges of lewd behavior and corruption of minors after police say he used his phone to show pictures of male genitals to underage girls at the Regal/United Artists movie theater at the Oxford Valley Mall Saturday night.

According to the affidavit, Robert Gimello, 25, of Langhorne, sat in front of three girls during a movie and angled his phone so they could see the lewd photos from their seats. The three girls left the theater and entered the women's restroom, the affidavit says, and peeked out several times to see Gimello standing near the door.

The theater manager told police that he asked Gimello to leave, but Gimello refused, saying he was waiting for a ride. A tipster later called police and said that Gimello was at a nearby bar, according to the criminal complaint.

After officers placed Gimello into custody in the patrol car, the girls and their parents were asked to make an identification, according to the criminal complaint. Court documents say the girls arrived at the bar and identified Gimello as the same person from the movie theater.

Gimello was arraigned by District Judge Leonard Brown and released on 10 percent payment of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. before District Judge John Kelly.
