Man Killed In Falls Twp Motorcycle Crash After Hat Blows Off

Witnesses reported that the Florida resident was going "extremely" fast when his hat blew off.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A man died in a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon after losing his hat while speeding, Falls Township police said.

According to police, the crash happened just after 1:15 p.m. on Millcreek Road at Willow Drive.

The driver, identified as Blake Anthony Sims, 24, was found deceased when police arrived at the scene. Witnesses reported that Sims, a Florida resident, was going "extremely" fast when his hat blew off.

"Sims looked back, presumably at his hat, and lost control of the motorcycle," according to information from police.

The motorcycle had just 11 miles on it, sources said.
