Middletown 2020 Fourth Of July Parade Canceled

MIDDLETOWN, PA — Middletown Township has canceled its 2020 Fourth of July Parade due to continued concerns about the spread of coronavirus.
"The Middletown Township 4th of July Parade will be cancelled this year due to national restrictions on large gatherings," the township said Wednesday on social media. "We are sad to see this beloved tradition put on hold. We wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day."
The news comes as local governments and other groups struggle with how to celebrate the summer holiday with coronavirus concerns still lingering.
